Ballet Folklorico en Aztlan is a Mexican-folk dance company founded in 1967 by Hermina Enrique. At present, her daughter Viviana Enrique Acosta, is the Artistic Director.
The Ballet Folklorico en Aztlan was the founding dance company at the Centro Cultural de la Raza in [Balboa Park], located in San Diego, CA. The major productions included Fiesta Poblana during Cinco de Mayo celebrations and The Night Sky: A Revolutionary Rebozo a dance theatre production about the Mexican Revolution. |
