They recently retired from competition, however he achieved many awards in his career. An internationally respected figure in the Ballroom world, Kosovich competed for 30 years before his recent rcompeted in seven Professional World Championship events, and before retiring from competition earlier this year[when?] he won the United States American Smooth Championships and finished second in the 2004 World Classic Showdance Championships.
